Argentine Tango Recital | Machiko Ozawa (Violin) & Rami Sarieddine (Piano) | June 25th, 2023

This summer, Commandaria Orchestra & Friends Concert Series has great moments and thrills in store for the Friends of beautiful music.

One of them is this coming Sunday, June 25, 2023, a concert dedicated to the Argentine Tango. The concert is part of the summer world tour of the enchanting violinist Machiko Ozawa who will be accompanied by the distinguished pianist Rami Sarieddine.

On this tour, the Japanese violinist who fell in love with Argentinian music presents her solo album entitled “Mi Oblivion”, released in 2018 with great success by Composers Concordance Records.

Machiko Ozawa is a Yamaha performing artist. She has studied at the Juilliard School, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Tokyo National University of the Arts. She has been the principal of the Orquesta Sinfonica Sinaloa de las Artes and has appeared in major concert halls such as the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall and as a soloist with many orchestras such as the Pan American Symphony Orchestra, the American Philharmonic Orchestra, and others.

Rami was born in Cyprus and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, the New England Conservatory in Boston, and the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles. He enjoys an important international career as a performer and pedagogue and we, the music lovers of Cyprus, are absolutely delighted that Rami was recently repatriated back to the island to create and contribute to our local musical culture.

The two excellent artists met for the first time back in 2015 in New York and since then they have been linked by both their friendship and their great professional collaboration.  We are invited to enjoy this collaboration through Argentinian music.

Αργεντινό Τανγκό

Ρεσιτάλ από την Machiko Ozawa (βιολί) και τον Rami Sarieddine (πιάνο)

Αυτό το καλοκαίρι, η σειρά συναυλιών Commandaria Orchestra & Friends επιφυλάσσει στους φίλους της όμορφης μουσικής μεγάλες στιγμές και συγκινήσεις.

Μια από αυτές, είναι και η συναυλία της ερχόμενης Κυριακής 25 Ιουνίου 2023, η οποία είναι αφιερωμένη στο Αργεντινό Τανγκό. Η συναυλία εντάσσεται στα πλαίσια του καλοκαιρινού παγκόσμιου τουρνέ της μαγευτικής βιολονίστριας Machiko Ozawa την οποία θα συνοδεύει ο διακεκριμένος πιανίστας Rami Sarieddine.

Στο τουρνέ αυτό, η Γιαπωνέζα βιολονίστρια που ερωτεύτηκε την Αργεντινή μουσική, παρουσιάζει το σόλο άλμπουμ της με τίτλο «Mi Oblivion», που κυκλοφόρησε το 2018 με μεγάλη επιτυχία από την Composers Concordance Records.

Απολαμβάνει μια σημαντική διεθνή καριέρα ως ερμηνευτής και παιδαγωγός και είμαστε ενθουσιασμένοι οι φιλόμουσοι στην Κύπρο, που ο Rami πρόσφατα έχει επαναπατριστεί στο νησί με σκοπό να δημιουργήσει και να προσφέρει στον τοπικό μας μουσικό πολιτισμό και κουλτούρα.

Οι δυο εξαίρετοι καλλιτέχνες πρωτογνωρίστηκαν το 2015 στη Νέα Υόρκη και από τότε τους συνδέει τόσο η φιλία όσο και η σπουδαία επαγγελματική τους συνεργασία, της οποίας καλούμαστε να γίνουμε δέκτες μέσω της Αργεντινής μουσικής.
