City under the Stars
A fundraising concert for TELETHON with distinguished soloists and The Commandaria Orchestra
A night of exquisite music is organized by TELETHON on Wednesday, June 12th 2019 at the Presidential Palace gardens.
Commandaria Orchestra, under the baton of its conductor Francis Guy, will present the gala concert “City under the Stars”. The program includes beloved extracts from the magical world of opera as well as masterpieces of the broader classical repertoire.
The soloist parts will be performed by distinguished soloists, such as the Greek tenor Demetres Nalbantis, the young talented soprano Ester Ustaeva and the mezzo soprano Tatiana Kokoreva. Of particular importance in the program is the participation of pianist, Tatiana Stupak and clarinetist George Georgiou.
The event will start at 8pm with a cocktail reception in the gardens of the Presidential Palace and at 9pm the audience will be seated in the amphitheater for the performance.
This special event is being held under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, and the First Lady, Mrs Andri Anastasiades, Honorary Patron of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.
TELETHON is organized by the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics and the Cyprus Muscular Dystrophy Association. Its aims are, to provide support to the Cyprus Muscular Dystrophy Association and finance scientific research programs of the CING.
